Your Wedding Photography Experience

Your wedding day isn’t like anyone else’s, so your wedding photography experience shouldn’t be either.

By limiting my weddings to 12 a year, I can create a bespoke experience for each of my couples.

The Process

Step 1: Free Consult

I aim to respond to your enquiry within one working day. Once I’ve checked my diary, we’ll organise a korero. That can either be via Zoom, over coffee, or even at the pub with a cheeky half pint in hand. You can make sure I’m not an axe murderer and that my jokes are just as funny IRL (spoiler: they are). And I can gauge if I’ll be the right fit for you.

Step 2: Let’s Make It Official

Once we’ve agreed on our mutual appreciation for one another, I send over a photography agreement and deposit invoice, and then we can get cracking on the fun stuff. Easy peasy.

Step 3: Engagement Session

Now for the fun bit. We’ll work out a date, time, and location for your engagement photography session. I’ll also send over my comprehensive prep guide. Not only will you get some cracking photos, the engagement shoot helps cement our connection, so you can feel good about your wedding day photos (and how much fun a photoshoot can be)!

Step 4: Wedding Prep

I don’t do hassle, which is why my pre-wedding process is so simple.

• To help us create a plan for your wedding photography, I have a questionnaire that takes you five minutes and saves us five hours of emailing.

• And I’ll help you map out your timeline and send vendor recommendations, if needed. I’ll even give you tips on writing your vows if you like (I’m waaay better than chatGPT).

Long story short, you’re hiring a pro. So on your wedding day, you can sit back, relax and let me handle it all.

Step 5: You Say ‘I Do’

Your wedding day is going to run smoothly because, together, we would have crafted the perfect plan. If you want to spend hours getting perfect portraits, then I’m down. But if you’d rather not step away from the party for too long, we can get some epic photos in 15 minutes.

I’ll be both a chameleon and a clown, blending in when needed, but also turning my extrovert dial up if I need to. The aim? To capture all the moments you might otherwise miss. And when you want portrait photos full of genuine smiles, I’ll choose the perfect prompt to loosen everyone up.

Step 6: After The Big Day

As soon as I get home, I back your photos up to three different places (no chances taken here!). And the next day, I edit and send you a selection of sneak peeks. They are there to tide you over until you receive your bespoke gallery just 25 working days later.

My Wedding Photography Philosophy

Cultivating Connection

The best photos come from the best connections, which is why cultivating a genuine relationship with you is what guides my entire pre-wedding process.

Documentary Photography

I specialise in a documentary-style approach to wedding photography, making sure I get the genuine and spontaneous moments as well as the ones you pose for. My passion lies in capturing candid shots that tell the entire story of how your day happens.

Armed with my cameras (plural!), I chronicle your day as it naturally unfolds, capturing both the significant moments and those precious in-between gems.

Group & Family Photos

When it comes to printing your photos, I guarantee a big chunk will be from the family photos, and they often get forgotten in the planning of the day. Reportage-style wedding photography is a fantastic means to truly capture the essence of your day. However, I will offer a bit of guidance during group shots.

Although these photos are important, I’m always aware that you want to rejoin the party as soon as possible. Don’t worry though – I’ve got group shots down to an art form. So we’ll capture some perfect photos in record time (and we’ll have a laugh doing it).

Your Portraits

Sunset portraits are a must-do. Not only does it give use the opportunity to make the most of that dreamy golden glow; it also gives you some time alone with your shiny new spouse. We can spend as long as you like on your portrait session, but I feel the sweet spot is anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour.
